Dexter—A funeral for Harland Ray Isenberg, 74, of Dexter was held Oct. 3, 1986 at the United Methodist Church here. Mr. Isenberg died of renal failure on Oct. 1.

Burial was in the Dexter Cemetery.

The son of Irving and Grace Isenberg, he was born May 31, 1912 at Green Mountain. He graduated from high school at Primghar in 1929, attended Nettleton Business College at Sioux Falls, S.D. for two years and graduated in 1937 from the School of Pharmacy at the University of Iowa. He married Wilma M. Bigalk at Cresco on Aug. 7, 1940, and they lived at Primghar, Sheldon and Nevada before moving to Dexter in 1947, where he owned and operated Isenberg Drug Store for 30 years.

He was a member of the Dexter Community Club, the Dexter Lions Club, the Dexter United Methodist Church, the 5x80 Country Club, the Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, Consistory Order, Shrine Temple and 5x80 Shrine Club. He was a former Dexter City Council member, and he was active in Boy Scout activities.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma; a son, Ken of Grinnell; a daughter, Ruth Hampton of Paradise Valley, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.
