Earlham—Memorial services for Meriam Jean Jurgensen, 65, of Earlham were held Jan. 22, 1995 at Earlham Community School with interment at Dexter Cemetery. Mrs. Jurgensen died Jan. 17 of Cancer at home.

The daughter of Dwight and Edna Barr, she was born Nov. 3, 1929 in Redfield. She graduated from Dexter High School in 1947 and married Charles Jurgensen Nov. 1, 1947.

Mrs. Jurgensen was a 14 year member of the Earlham Rescue Squad and in October of 1994 she received the Friends of EMS award given by the Iowa Emergency Medical Services Association.

She was preceded in death by her father and a son, Kevin. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Craig of Austin, Minn. and Kent of Des Moines; three daughters, Kathi of Encinitas, Calif., Kay of Iowa City and Kristin of Omaha, Neb.; 10 grandchildren; a sister and three brothers.
