Winterset—Altabelle Hochstetler, 77, of Winterset died of emphysema on Feb. 14, 1990 at Winterset Care Center South, where she was a resident. The body has been cremated and a private graveside memorial service will be held at the Dexter Cemetery at a later date.

Mrs. Hochstetler, a homemaker, was born at Lost Nation and had lived in the Stuart area for many years before moving to Winterset in 1977.

Survivors include three sons, Clifford of Stuart, William of Norwalk and Richard of Des Moines; three daughters, Carol McGinnis of Norwalk, Mary Bunnell of Dexter and Barbara Travis of Downey, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
