Word was received in Minburn on Friday of the death of James Creswell of Dexter, who passed away that morning from pneumonia. He had been in ill health for the past two years. Mr. Creswell was a former Minburn resident, the family having moved to Minburn about 37 years ago, living here about 30 years, and moving to their present home in Dexter about seven years ago. Mr. Creswell was a rural mail carrier at Minburn. Last rites were held on Sunday afternoon in Dexter at the Presbyterian church of which he was a member. Interment was made in the cemetery at Dexter.

Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Kermit of Dexter. He was 73 years of age. Numbered among those from Minburn who attended the last rites were Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Bundy, Mr. and Mrs. Henry West, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Goldsberry, Mr. and Mrs. Don McClaskey, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Anderson, C. S. Hill, Mrs. Lester Dugan and Mrs. Ben Dugan.
