Iva May Cronk was born July 20, 1894 to Aaron and Emma Francis in Kinsey, Indiana. She came to Iowa when she was 7 years old and passed away at her home in Dexter on Nov. 4, 1972 at 78 years of age.

On March 15, 1916 she was united in marriage to Howard Cronk who preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 1962.

To this union four children were born. Robert Cronk of Shirland, Illinois; Mrs. Mary Rhoads of Des Moines, Iowa; Mrs. Jean McDonald of rural Earlham and Richard Cronk who preceded her in death in 1950.

Surviving her besides her three children are a brother, Arthur Francis of Banning, California; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Mrs. Cronk was a member of the Dexter United Methodist church and enjoyed being a part of the WSCS and Golden Age Club.

Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 7 at the Dexter United Methodist Church by Rev. James Nicholson. Burial was made in the Dexter Cemetery.
