He was an avid stock car racing fan and just recently spent 10 days in Boone at Super Nationals. In June of this year, he invested in a camper and was very excited to take it on his “racing vacation” in Boone. He and Sue also enjoyed their time together on the numerous bowling trips they took around the country as well as their trips to watch the Chicago Cubs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Nile Forcht.

He is survived by his wife, Sue; his sons, Cory Forcht of Greenfield, and Chris Forcht and Andy Forcht of Stuart; one daughter, Alison Forcht of Des Moines; four grandchildren; and siblings, Nyla Maas of Menlo, Marty Forcht of Stuart and Deb Funaro of Des Moines.
