Stuart—Jean L. Forcht, 80, of Stuart died of a heart attack Sunday, Jan. 3, 2000 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. The body was cremated, and memorial services were held Jan. 26, at Ruppert Funeral Home chapel in Stuart. Burial of the cremains was in Dexter Cemetery in Dexter.

Jean Forcht was born near Stuart and had lived in the area all her life. She was a retired co-manager of Warren House in West Des Moines and also had been a nurse’s aid with Dexter Clinic. She loved doing crafts.

She is survived by her husband, Nile; two sons, Steven and Marty, both of Stuart; two daughters, Nyla Maas of Menlo and Debra Forcht-Funaro of Des Moines, two brothers, Dean Schirm of Dexter and Bill Schirm of Guthrie Center; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
