Dexter—A funeral for Cora Belle Clausen, 95, of Dexter was held Dec. 15, 1985 at the Zion Lutheran Church here. Mrs. Clausen died of a lung ailment on Dec. 12 at a Perry nursing home.

Burial was in the Dexter Cemetery.

Born near Norton, Kan. On Nov. 2, 1890, she was the daughter of William M. and Mary Morse Drake. She attended Winterset High School and taught school in Madison and Adair counties. After completing nursing training in Excelsior Springs, Mo. she worked as a nurse for doctors and in private homes in Missouri and the Des Moines area.

She married Ferdinand Detrich Clausen on March 7, 1920. She lived most of her life in the Penn Center area near Dexter and was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, the churches Ladies Aid, the Dallas County Historical Society, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Madison County Farm Bureau. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son Frederick of Dexter; daughter, Mary Joan Blaisdell of Perry, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
