Page 3, Column 4Dexter—A funeral for Richard Henry Clausen, 83, of Dexter was held Feb. 23, 1985 at the Zion Lutheran Church here. Mr. Clausen died of a heart ailment at the Stuart Community Care Center on Feb. 20.
Burial was in the Dexter Cemetery.
Mr. Clausen was born Jan. 25, 1902 on a farm near Dexter and was the son of John and Martha Richter Clausen. He attended Penn No. 3 School and married Ruby Roberts on Sept. 10, 1924. She preceded him in death in 1956, and he married Blanche Petersen on Dec. 2, 1962.
He was a retired farmer and had raised black Angus cattle. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife Blanche, two sons, Walter Benjamin of Stuart and James Norman of Dexter; a daughter, Zelda Mae Paullin of Greenfield, two stepsons, Harry Petersen of Winterset and Richard Petersen of Earlham, 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
