Former Dexter Farmer Is Dead

Services for Albert Tilden Daulton were held at the Fisher Funeral Home in Adel, Sunday, January 5 at 2 p.m.

Mr. Daulton, 91 years of age, passed away on January 1. He was the oldest of twelve children and was born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. The family moved to Ohio and in February, 1899, Mr. Daulton came to Adel. He was married to Lydia Mae Chestnutwood, of Adel in 1899. Mr. Daulton lived and farmed near Dexter until his retirement in 1961 when he moved to Des Moines to make his home with his daughter, Mrs. Mildred Sandahl.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, of Dexter, the Modern Woodmen, Dexter IOOF and Rebekah lodge.

Rev. Charles T. White officiated at the services. Soloist was Robert G. Fisher accompanied by Mrs. Neale Caudron. Casket bearers included Meritt A. Daulton, Robert O. Anderson, Robert E. Hanson, Robert R. Hoquist, Harold Sandahl, Jr. and Donald D. Daulton.

He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Harold Sandahl, of Des Moines, sons Lawrence of Toledo, Ohio and Roy of Ames. Also two sisters and two brothers as well as five grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. His wife and one son preceded him in death.
