Many Dallas Center friends were grieved to learn of the death of Mrs. Marion Colee, former Dexter resident, who passed away Friday, November 17 at Mt. Vernon, Michigan, where she made her home with her daughter Zelpha, who is a teacher in the public schools at that place.

While living in Dallas Center several years ago, Mrs. Colee who was a talented musician, took an active part in the musical circle and was director of the choir of the Methodist church. Mrs. Colee at one time was an instructor in music at Simpson college.

After leaving Dallas Center, Mrs. Colee and daughter moved to Missouri Valley, where she also taught music in the public schools. For the past two years Mrs. Colee had been in ill health but her death came quite suddenly when she suffered a heart attack.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday from the Presbyterian church in Dexter, the old home of the Colee family. Interment was at the Dexter cemetery beside her husband, who passed away several years ago.

Mrs. Colee is survived by two daughters, Miss Zeta Colee, of Des Moines and Zelpha of Mt. Vernon.
