Stuart—A funeral for Lyle G. Carter, 87, of Stuart was held Sept. 16, 1985 at the Link Funeral Home here. Mr. Carter died Sept. 13 at the Stuart Community Care Center.

Burial was in the Dexter Cemetery at Dexter.

Mr. Carter was born in Mazon, Ill. and had lived in the Dexter and Winterset areas most of his life. He was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Daisy; two sons, Floyd of Dexter and Lloyd of Urbandale; two daughters, Marjorie Partlow of Menlo and Mildred Stinman of Fort Dodge; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren.
