Doris Clampitt, 13 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Clampitt, of Johnston, and niece of Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Clampitt of Adel, died Thursday morning at her home after a short illness from scarlet fever. Mr. Clampitt, who was for many years superintendent of the Dexter schools, now holds a similar position at Johnston.
Private funeral services were held Sunday and burial was at Dexter.
