Stuart—A graveside service for Marvin Dwight Clifton, 41, of Kankakee, Ill. and formerly of Stuart was held April 6, 1985 at the Dexter Cemetery. He died Jan. 21 near Immokalee, Fla.

The son of Everett C. and Monta Collins Clifton, he was born Dec. 17, 1943 at Des Moines. He graduated from Earlham High School in 1962 and served four years in the United States Army. He worked for McMenamin Feed and Grain at Dexter for 10 years, and eventually became an independent contractor with Hunt Super Service of Bradley, Ill.

He is survived by his wife Minnie, of Kankakee; two sons, Marvin Jr. of Kankakee and Darren of Stuart; a daughter, Darcia Clifton of Stuart; his mother, Monta Clifton of Dexter; and two brothers, Arnold of Adel and Jerry of Freeport, Ill.
