DONNA RAE CORMAN

Donna R. Corman was born the daughter of Harry and Margaret (Cox) Stegall in Earlham, Iowa on August 28, 1941. She died at Mercy West Lakes Hospital in West Des Moines, Iowa on July 12, 2011 at the age of 69 years, 10 months and 14 days.

Donna received her education and graduated from the DeSoto High School. She grew up on farms south of Earlham, however lived in Dexter the last 20 years. She began working as a home health care worker and found she had a passion for caring for the elderly. She worked her whole career as a health care worker until her retirement at the Dallas Center Care Center in 2001. Donna worked at numerous care facilities over the years. Donna married Darwin Corman on August 13, 1960 in Des Moines, Iowa, however later divorced. This marriage was blessed with two children: an infant daughter and son Douglas.

Donna was a collector of wind chimes, Christmas decorations, and her favorite of all were her carousel and rocking horses. Donna loved playing any kind of card games. She never missed a local bingo game if possible. She enjoyed going to the congregate meal site in Stuart each day and visit over lunch with her friends. Donna was very active member of the Dexter American Legion Auxillary. Donna enjoyed spending time with her son, family and many friends.

Donna leaves the following to celebrate her life: son Douglas Lee Corman of Dexter; brother Harry Dean Stegall of Des Moines; many nieces and nephews and many friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter and her husband.

Burial of the cremains was in the Dexter cemetery.
