Dexter—A funeral for Christine Arnold, 50, of Shenandoah and formerly of Dexter was held March 27, 1985 at the Trinity Lutheran Church at Shenandoah. She died of cancer at her home on March 24.

Burial was in the Dexter Cemetery.

She was born July 11, 1934 in Des Moines and was the daughter of Rev. Kurt and Ida Bergmann Daib. She grew up in Dexter, graduating from Dexter High School in 1952. She attended Drake University at Des Moines, and later graduated from the Broadlawns School of Nursing at Des Moines.

She married Larry Arnold at Dexter on June 8, 1958. They lived in various towns in Iowa and Nebraska and moved to Shenandoah in 1971.

She was employed by the Shenandoah Memorial Hospital and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and its women’s groups.

Survivors include her husband, Larry; two sons, Jeff of Maryville, Mo. and Bill of Shenandoah; two sisters, Kathryn Cross of St. Louis, Mo. and Margaret Adkins of Dexter; and a brother, Len Daib of Grimes.
