Carrie Marie Langston (Henning), age 29, of Adel, passed away on Sept. 19, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in West Des Moines. Carrie was born Aug. 2, 1988 in Rome, Ga.
As a child, she particularly loved spending time outdoors and at her grandparents’ lake. Carrie later lived in Snellville, Ga. and St. Charles, Mo. where she attended high school at Francis Howell Central. A loving mother and lifelong animal enthusiast, Carrie touched all those around her with her extraordinary sense of compassion and empathy. She was passionate about music and nature and enjoyed attending concerts and walking outdoors. Carrie worked as a professional pet groomer, bringing her generous spirit to her career. Carrie was happiest when bringing about joy in others and her beautiful smile and infectious laugh will be missed, but always remembered.
Carrie is survived by her husband Keith; her three children Keller (9), Cadence (4), & Claire (18 months); her parents Kris and Troy Prosser, Sr.; her brothers Duane Langston and Troy Prosser, Jr.; her sisters Jennifer (Christopher) Vollmer and Tasha (Ricci) Creamer; her grandmother Annette Schultz; her grandparents Dave and Donna Prosser; her uncle Scott (Diane) Schultz; her uncle Todd (LaDonna) Schultz and their children, Raechel and Ian; Her uncle James Prosser; her nephews Boone and Cade Creamer; her nephew Carsyn Prosser; her cousin Jill (Jason) Hartl and their children, Keller and Brannon; her cousin Jenna (Rob) Papes and their daughter, Mila; her parents-in-law Dave and Sharon Jungjohann; her brothers-in-law Kevin Henning and Dylan Jungjohann; and her sister-in-law Allyson Jungjohann.
Carrie was preceded in death by her grandfather Jerry Schultz. If you wish to honor Carrie’s spirit and legacy, flowers are not necessary. Perform a simple act of kindness for another person or a pet. Put a smile on someone’s face when they are having a bad day. Volunteer at a local animal shelter. Pass on a few kind words when they can make a difference. Leave this world a better place than when it was when you arrived — Carrie certainly did.
