June Goldsberry, 80, died Friday, February 8, 2013, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, after a brief illness. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, at Minburn United Methodist Church in Minburn, of which she was a member. Private burial of the cremated remains will be at Elmwood Cemetery.

June was born in Haskell, OK and moved to Iowa at the age of 2. She graduated from Minburn High School in 1950 and she married her high school sweetheart, Howard Goldsberry. They made their home on the Goldsberry Family Century Farm where they raised their four children. June enjoyed homemaking and will be remembered for her hospitality and friendship.

June is survived by her husband of 61 years, Howard, her children-Cheryl (David) Weesner of Des Moines, David (Linda) Goldsberry of Linden, Laura (Audie) Carman and Lisa (Mike) Carstens, both of Minburn; 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren. two sisters - Hazel (Bill) Schuhardt and Sandra Garnes, both of Perry; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lucille and her brother, Ronald Hicks.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at Minburn United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to her church. Online condolences will be welcomed at IlesCares.com.
