Sudiebel Warren was born on a ranch in Conicho county, Texas August 28, 1887. Her parents were M. W. Warren and Mary Ann Henderson. She passed away at the Methodist hospital Tuesday morning, April 10th, at the age of 68 years, seven months and 13 days. She was reared on a ranch in Central West Texas. For five years she was tutored by a governess in her home, then attended public schools in Rock Springs, Texas. She completed her education at St. Mary’s Hall in San Antonio, Texas where she was a student for three years. In 1905 she moved with the family to San Antonio. Her mother died in 1906. Her father died in 1922. She was married to W. A. Stanley of Dexter January 7th, 1911. To this union was born one son, Warren, who now lives in Atchison, Kansas. One of Mrs. Stanley’s four sisters recently preceded her in death, Mrs. W. E. McCarson of Comstock, Texas. Her other sisters are: Mrs. George W. Barcus of Austin; Mrs. R. G. Grantland of Campwood, Texas; Mrs. R. W. Hough of Ft. Morgan, Colorado, and a foster sister, Mrs. T. T. Reynolds of San Antonio.

Her husband and son, two grandchildren and many relatives and friends survive to mourn her loss. Mrs. Stanley was a loyal member of the Methodist church for many years where she also served in the Woman’s Society. She belonged to the D. T. Club and Navy Mothers. She was especially interested in charitable work. She will be remembered for her cheerful, Christian spirit, often during illness, and suffering.

Services were held in the Methodist church at Dexter Friday, April 13th at 2 p.m. with her minister, Rev. Textor officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. K. M. Chapler, who played selected hymns on the organ. Flower ladies were: Marie Atherton, Opal Lorenzen, and Marjorie Weesner.

Casket bearers were: Orville Grant, Bob Weesner, Allen Atherton, Kirk Piper, Albert Gibson and John Baldwin. Interment was in the Dexter cemetery.
