Stewart Warneck Aldrich, son of Isaac Newton and Lucy Ellis Aldrich, was born at Waukee, Iowa October 18th, 1874. He departed this life at the Garwood Nursing Home, at Dexter, October 8, 1959 at the age of 84 years, 11 months and 20 days.

He attended Dallas county and Des Moines public schools. He was a member of the Odd Fellow lodge for many years and spent most of his life in Dallas county.

On December 18, 1895 he was united in marriage to Blanche Frances Campbell. To this union three children were born.

Mr. Aldrich has been in failing health for several years and seriously ill since March of 1958 with a foot infection. The last year has been spent in the Dexter Rest Home. Mrs. Aldrich passed away December 21, 1958 at the Redfield hospital.

Leaving to mourn his passing is his son, Orle Aldrich of Redfield; and a daughter, DeLoise Peacock of Jefferson, Iowa; and seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Bess Paul of Waukee, Iowa. He was preceded in death by an infant son who died at birth, his father and mother and six brothers.

Funeral services were held October 10, at DeFord Funeral Chapel, at Redfield, with Robert D. Williams, in charge. Burial at Wiscotta cemetery near Redfield.
