April 1920The funeral of Mrs. Oliva Hall was held at the Presbyterian Church Saturday afternoon, conducted by the pastor. A considerable number of the old friends and neighbors of this good woman were present in addition to relatives in this vicinity to pay a last tribute of respect to her memory. Mrs. Hall passed away at the home of her daughter Mrs. Sanford Ellis residing north of DeSoto in her 80th year. She is also survived by another daughter Mrs. Lindley McNichols, of Des Moines.
With her husband, Mrs. Hall made her home for about thirty years on a farm north of Earlham, but the death of Mr. Hall was the occasion for her making her further home with her children.
She was laid at rest at the side of her husband and two children in the McKibben Cemetery. The McNichols excpect to leave Iowa very shortly for a new home in California.
