Thursday - May 2, 1957MRS. WASSON, 74, DIES WEDNESDAY
Mrs. Margaret Frances Wasson, 74, a resident of Perry since 1902, died Wednesday at 2:50 PM at the Dallas County Hospital as the result of a heart condition. She had been admitted to the hospital earlier in the day.
Funeral services for Mrs. Wasson will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with the Rev. Maurice Powers officiating. Burial will be at Violet Hill Cemetery. Rosary will be Friday at 8 PM at the Workman-Timeon Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wasson was born April 20, 1883 in Germany, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schinker. Before her marriage to Holsey Wasson Nov. 26, 1902, she lived at Marion, Iowa.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, the B.P.O. Does and the Milwaukee Women's Club.
Mrs. Wasson is survived by her husband, Holsey; five sons, David, John, Howard and Robert , all of Los Angeles, Calif., and William of Perry; two daughters, Margaret Booth of Los Angeles and Mrs. Fred Ling of Perry. Seven grandchildren, and one brother, Nick Schinker of Norway, Iowa, and one sister, Mrs. Anna Zvewaeck of Los Angeles, also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son who died in infancy. The body will lie in state at the Workman-Timeon Funeral Home.
CORRECTION: Margaret Frances Schincker was born in Dahnen, Eifelkreis Bitburg-Pruem, Rhineland-Pfalz, Germany, the daughter of Nicholaus and Elisabetha (Flammang) Schincker. The family changed the spelling of their name to Schinker when they came to the United States.
