Lovisa Holm Fanberg
Lived In Ida County 27 Years.

Wife of Well Known Pioneer

Mrs. Louisa Holm Fanberg, wife of the well known pioneer citizen of Hayes township Jonas Fanberg, died at the old home on Saturday, Sept., 21st, 1907. All that the doctors could do seemed to avail nothing and Mrs. Fanberg slowly wasted away. She was up and around during most of her sickness and was in bed but three or four days before the end came, and she passed to her reward in the unknown world.

Louisa Holm was born in Sweden on 19 Sept 1855 and came to America in May 1880. That same year she was married in Dec 24th to Jonas Fanberg, the ceremony being performed in Ida Grove. They then went to the Fanberg homestead in Hayes which has since been their home and there on Saturday last she died surrounded by the loving husband and children to whom she has been a blessed wife and mother.

The funeral services were held from the home yesterday afternoon at 1 o’clock, and later at the Swedish Baptist Church in Hayes, she being buried in the Hayes Swedish cemetery. Nine children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Fanberg, six of whom, two boys and four girls, survive their mother. The children are Mrs. A. P. Bergstrand of Raymond, Minn; Miss Beda, Elvira and Elnora and the sons Nimrod and Zebulon. She also leaves four grandchildren and two sisters Mrs. Bilstein of Worthington, Minnesota and Mrs. Perthell of Pilger, Minnesota.

The Pioneer on behalf of Ida County extends to the sorrowing husband and children the sympathy of all out people.
