MRS. C. BULLER PASSES AWAY
Mrs. Christina Buller passed peacefully away Saturday morning at 9:00 o'clock at her home in old Kiron following a short period of illness. Mrs. Buller always enjoyed the best of health and was always very active until about a month ago when her health began to fail her. during her illness she was most tenderly cared for by her children who wanted their mother to have the best comfort.
Mrs. Christina Buller was born in Sunval, Sweden April 1st, 1866 and died on December 24 at the age of 66 years 8 months and 23 days. She came to America in 1881 when fifteen years old with her father, brother and sister. She was united in marriage to Peter Buller Feb. 13, 1886 at old Kiron where they made their home until 1904 when they moved to their farm in Wheeler township, Sac County where they resided until 1924 when they again moved to their old home in old Kiron where they since resided. Her husband preceded her in death several years ago.
This union was blest with twelve children, nine living, one son, William died at the age of 3 years. One daughter, Alva died at the age of 3 months and one son, Ernest died while in service. Those left to mourn the departure of their beloved mother are: Pearl, Mrs. Bert Loomer, Arthur Buller, Albin Buller of Kiron Ester, Mrs. Emil Flodine of Omaha, Fettie, Mrs. E. F. Miller, Julia, Mrs. L. L. Moorehouse, Nina, Mrs. Bill Quade, Tenor and Lee Buller, all of Kiron. She also leaves 19 grandchildren, one brother Gust Holmberg of Kiron, her only sister Mrs. Henry Buller preceded her in death. She leaves a large number of other relatives and a host of friends.
Mrs. Buller was a tender and loving mother very considerate of her loved ones. She was a kind and generous neighbor and always willing to lend a helping hand. She was a congenial friend and always had a cheerful word. Her place will be sadly missed.Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Evangelical Free church conducted by the Rev. H. A. Faugerstorm. Many gathered to pay their last respects to the departed. Special singing was rendered. The floral offerings were beautiful. She was laid to rest in the Kiron Cemetery . Peace be to her memory.
