EVERETT CARL ARNOLD GUSTAFSON 1912 - 1980

Everett Carl Arnold Gustafson, son of Enard and Elizabeth Gustafson was born at Arthur on July 6, 1912. He received his education in the Alta area.
On May 29, 1937 he was united in marriage to Doris Maxine Ang. They made their home in the Odebolt-Arthur area, later in life they moved to Varina, then to Alta where they had lived for the last 16 years.

He passed away April 24, 1980 at the Buena Vista County hospital after suffering a heart attack.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Robert; one sister, Dorothy Godbersen.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; two sons, Marlin and Ronald of Alta; two daughters, Janice (Mrs. James) Hoffard of Sac City, Judy (Mrs. Steve) Hatch of Nemaha; two brothers, Emer and Roland of Arthur; three sisters, Mrs. Elva Colman of Spencer, Pearl (Mrs. Peter) Johannsen of Cherokee, Lorraine (Mrs. Chester) Thevenot of Odebolt; eight grandchildren; six great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Services were held Monday April 28, at the First Baptist church in Storm Lake at 2 p.m. Officiating was the Rev. E. Harris Paulson. "Beyond the Sunset" and "How Great Thou Art" were sung by Karen Paulson accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Paulson. Interment was in Buena Vista Memorial cemetery, Storm Lake, under the direction of the Farber and Otteman Funeral Home. Pall bearers were Kermit Hendricks, Robert Godbersen, Dennis Thevenot, John Ang, Darrell Swanson, and Rick Carlyle.
