Eight Great-Grandchildren Survive HerDied at her home in Crabtree, Ore, Christine Dobson, wife of Benjamin E. Dobson. Christina Palmer was born in Chenango, N. Y., Dec. 29th, 1846 and was married to Benjamin F. Dobson in Muscatine, Iowa, June 10th, 1857. She died May 17th, 1914. She was the mother of nine children, five of whom preceded her to the realms beyond. Those living are Charles E. Dobson, of Medical Springs, Ore., Frederick E. Dobson and Benjamin E. Dobson of Crabtree, Ore.; and one daughter, Arvilla E. Smith, of Salem, Ore. Twenty grandchildren and
eight great-grandchildren survive her.Benjamin E. Dobson and wife were one of the earliest settlors in the county. He kept a store in Deloit in the town’s early history, where the Robertson Studio now stands, and lived in the house on the next corner east, now the Cose property. There are many old friends here that kindly remember them. Her husband and four children are left to mourn her loss.
