Funeral Services Held Friday For Lillian Schmidt

Lillian Irene Schmidt, daughter of August and Flora (Hoffard) Gollhofer, was born November 12, 1909 at Charter Oak, Iowa and died Tuesday, ctober 9, 1973 at Soldier, Iowa. She had reached the age of 63 years 10 months and 27 days. Mrs. Schmidt had lived her entire life in the Charter Oak, Soldier and Ute community. She married Adolph Schmidt December 12, 1945 at Sioux City and they had farmed since that time four miles north of Soldier.

She was a member of St . Paul's Lutheran Church at Ute and was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith January 13, 1948 at St . Paul's.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother

Survivors include her husband, Adolph Schmidt of Soldier, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. Earl (Pearl) Doll of Onawa and one brother, Earl Gollhofer of Charter Oak.

Funeral services were held Friday, October 12, 1973 at 10:30 a.m. at S t . Paul's Lutheran church in Ute, Iowa. Pastor Robert Leege officiated and burial was in the Charter Oak County Cemetery at Charter Oak, Iowa.

Pall bearers were Wilbur Kunze, Harry Suckstorf, George Rosauer, Robert Rosburg, Lloyd Struble and Vierl Johnson.
