Ramona Margaret Nelson, "better known as Sneezy" was born January 2, 1929, the daughter of Arnold and Katherine Brocksen Jensen. She died Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa at the age of seventy-eight.

Sneezy was born on a farm in Crawford County near Schleswig, Iowa and was baptized in Christ March 3, 1929, and was confirmed April 2, 1944 at Friedens Evangelical and Reformed Church in Schleswig. She received her education in a rural school near her home and continued her education at Schleswig High School with the class of 1947.

On August 9, 1948, Sneezy was united in marriage to Lea Nelson in Omaha, Nebraska and were blessed with the birth of two children, Linda and Danny. Sneezy worked eight years at Hollander Clothing, at the golf course, 13 years at Don's Market, and for two years, she and her husband managed the club house at the Schleswig Community Golf Course. She was a lifelong member of the United Church of Christ and was a member of the Jr. Guild, taught Sunday School, Bible School, and was in charge of making the list for greeters, ushers, and Kiddie Kare.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lea; her sisters, Lois Anderson and her husband, Ronnie; Marian Baker; Sylvia Streck and her husband, Harry; and Erma Neumann and her husband, Marvin. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Clark and her husband, Russ of Fletcher, Ohio; and her son, Dan Nelson and his wife, Pam of Missouri Valley, Iowa; three grandchildren, Jennifer Knudsen and her husband, Dan of Omaha; Bob Nelson and his wife, Jennifer of Oto, Iowa; and Kayla Nelson of Spirit Lake, Iowa; four great-grandchildren, Gabe, Alex, and Jake Knudsen, all of Omaha; and Cody Nelson of Oto, Iowa; two brothers-in-law, Lloyd Baker of Kiron; and Bob Nelson and his wife, Mary of Tucson, Arizona; one sister-in-law, Jean Indorf and her husband, LuVern of Springdale, Arkansas; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 17, 2007 at the United Church of Christ in Schleswig, Iowa. Rev. Christ Burtnett officiated the services and grave side rites held at Morgan Cemetery in Schleswig. Organist Wendy Bumann provided accompaniment for the congregational hymns "How Great Thou Art," and "On Eagle's Wings." "On Eagles Wings" by Michael Crawford was also played. Those serving as Honorary Pallbearers were Alan Teut, Dale Jensen, and Pete Teut. Those serving as Pallbearers were Rick Anderson, Gary Carlson, Harry Streck, Jim Neumann, Jerry Baker, and Jim Bral. The family invited everyone in attendance to join them for fellowship and lunch served by the Women's Guild. The Huebner Funeral Home in Schleswig was in charge of the arrangements.
