Frank Peruzzi was born July 19, 1915, the son of Frank and Mary Gasparotto Peruzzi Sr. He died Friday, October 5, 2007 at the Eventide Lutheran Home in Denison, Iowa at the age of ninety-two.

Frank was born in Livingston, Illinois and as a small child he moved with his parents to Wilsonville, Illinois. He received his education at the Wilsonville Community School, graduating from the eighth grade. Frank later entered the J. Sterling Morton High School in Cicero, Illinois, and the Gillespie Community High School in Gillespie, Illinois, then graduated from the Corning Community High School, Corning, Iowa, with the class of 1934.

After completing his education, Frank returned to the Chicago, Illinois area, where he was employed in various factories. In 1936, he moved to Denison, Iowa and bought one-half interest in the Denison Candy Kitchen, with his partner, Albert Bartholomew. On May 20, 1942, Frank entered the United States Army, serving his country as a aircraft mechanic, while stationed in Burma, China and Central Burma. He received his honorable discharge in November 1945, then returned to his business in Denison, until retiring on December 31, 1983. Frank was a member of the Denison American Legion and V.F.W.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Mary Murphy and Virginia Bartholomew. Survivors include one sister, Elizabeth Neumann and her husband, Walter of Denison; also many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison, Iowa. Fr. Paul Kelly officiated the services and grave side rites held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Denison. Organist Jean Cornelius provided the service music. Those serving as pallbearers were Richard Bartholomew, Jim Bartholomew, Tom Neumann, Dick Neumann, John Neumann, and Butch Miller. Military Honors were provided by the American Legion Post 8 of Denison. The family invited everyone in attendance to join them for fellowship and lunch at King Buffett in Denison. The Huebner Funeral Home in Denison was in charge of the arrangements.
