Ronald Allen Teut was born July 12, 1943, the son of Kermit and Irene Pautsch Teut. He died Tuesday, December 12, 2006, at the Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove, Iowa, at the age of sixty-three.

Ronald was born in Ute, Iowa, and was baptized in Christ on August 1,1943, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Soldier Township in Charter Oak, Iowa. He was confirmed at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Ricketts, Iowa on May 4, 1958. Ronald received his elementary education in a rural school near his home and graduated from Schleswig High School in 1961.

On June 26, 1965, he was united in marriage to Carol Reimer at United Church of Christ in Schleswig, Iowa. The couple first made their home in Denison and then moved to Schleswig in 1966. They were blessed with the birth of two daughters. Ronald began working at IBP in 1961and worked until the fall of 1965 when he and his brother formed Teut Brothers from 1965-1972. In 1972 Ronald began driving for Foreman Trucking Company in Sioux City. He drove for Farmland from 1974 until he retired in 2003. He helped area farmers and worked at the Schleswig Country Club. From 1984-2004, he worked at Denison Livestock. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Schleswig, and Schleswig Golf Course Board member.

He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, especially Texas Hold 'Em. He enjoyed going to and watching his grandchildren's sporting activities. Ronald was very much an outdoorsman. He was a hard, dedicated worker, and always on time. He enjoyed working with cattle and being outside. There was never a weed on the farm place or in his pastures. He loved socializing with friends and had many special friends. One favorite companion was his dog Sadie.

He was preceded in death by his father. Left to cherish Ronald's memory are his wife, Carol; two daughters: Traci Conover and her husband, Kelly, of Anthon; and Robin Ellerbeck and her husband, Rocky, of Schleswig; four grandchildren: Drew and Cody Conover of Anthon; and Bailey and Megan Ellerbeck of Schleswig; his mother, Irene, of Schleswig; three brothers: Roger Teut of Lincoln, Nebraska; Corvin Teut of Schleswig; and Myron Teut and his wife, Sheri, of Gretna, Nebraska; mother-in-law, Ruth Jess and step-father-in-law, Hans, of Battle Creek; one brother-in-law, Dennis Reimer and his wife, Lorene, of Schleswig; one step-brother-in-law, Reggie Jess and his wife, Katy, of Juniper, Florida; one step-sister-in-law, Sandy Blake and her husband, Dave, of Gordon, Nebraska; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday December 15, 2006 at the Immanual Lutheran Church in Schleswig. Reverend Merle Mahnken officiated the service and grave side rites. Burial was at the Morgan Cemetery in Schleswig. Marlene Hight was the organist and accompanied the congregation on the hymns, "I know that My Redeemer Lives" and "Abide With Me." Eldon Hardekopf sang the solo selections, "Amazing Grace, How Sweet the Sound" and "On Eagle's Wings." Honorary pallbearers included Harlin Schmadke, Rex Kuhlman, Byron Goslar, Dale Wessel, Gaylen Wurschel, Doug Schnoor, Ron Houston, and Kevin Boeck. Pallbearers were Leon Clausen, Chuck Herrig, Dan Seivert, Ray Santi, Duane Jacoby, Bill Benson, Ed Kluver, and JR Pauley. The family invited everyone back to the church after the committal service for fellowship and lunch served by the Ladies Aid and catered by Staley's. The Huebner Funeral Home in Schleswig were in charge of arrangements. The family wishes to acknowledge the prayers, memorials, flowers, food, and cards of sympathy, and politely thank each and everyone for their kind considerations.
