The Clinton Herald Friday June 21, 1940 p. 5 Paul H. Struve, 83, Jackson county native and resident of the Hauntown community most of his life, died at 9:40 p.m. Thursday in his home. He had been ill for several months. The body reposes in the home and will be returned Sunday morning to the Shadduck funeral home, Clinton, for services at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon. The Rev. C. V. Tambert, pastor of St. Paul's English Lutheran church, Clinton, will officiate, and burial will be in Oakland cemetery. Mr. Struve was born March 12, 1857, and was married May 2, 1882, to Anna Klinger in Lyons. The later moved to a farm near Hauntown. Surviving are the widow, six children, Mrs. Hans Baasch, Ernest and Arnold of Andover, William of Teeds Grove, Franz of Woodward and George of Ogden; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Meyers and Mrs. Amelia Frahm of Clinton; and a brother, John Struve of this city. Preceding him in death were his parents, a daughter in infancy, a son, Paul, in France during the World war, and three brothers, William, Edward and Ferdinand.
