The Clinton Herald Wednesday December 30, 1953 p. 8 Mrs. Martha M. Myers, 81, of 2718 N. 3rd St., died Tuesday at 1 p.m. in her home. The body reposes at the Pape funeral home where friends may call beginning this evening. Funeral services will be conducted there Saturday at 3 p.m. by Rev. George Fairbanks of Community church. Burial will follow in Oakland cemetery. Martha M. Struve was born April 28, 1872 at Elk River, Mills, daughter of Ernest H. and Catherine Schnoor Struve. Her marriage to Joe L. Myers took place at Almont in 1897. The couple farmed in Elk River township until retiring and moving to Clinton in 1926. Mrs. Myers was a member of Community church. Several nieces and nephews survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in September, 1946, five brothers and a sister.
