Emile Catherine Schnoor Struve 1835-1898

Near Almont, on the night of the 11th last, Mrs. Catherine Struve, wife of Ernest Struve, aged 62 years. They were married 41 years ago, and had lived in this country nearly 30 years. They have seven children - John of this city, Edward, Paul and William of Elk River, Ferdinand of Miles, Mrs. Joseph Meyers of Almont and Mrs. John Frahm of Miles. The funeral was held at the house on the 14th, with burial at Oakland. The family have the sincerest sympathy of all in their loss of the good wife and mother.

On the night of the 11th at their home near Almont occurred the death of Catherine, wife of Eernest Struve aged sixty-three years. Her death was due larely to the failing health incident to her years. She was held in high esteem and respect by all who knew her and her unexpected death is a shock to her many friends who deeply sympathize with those bereaved. Mrs. Struve was united in marriage to Ernest Struve in Jackson county forty-four years ago but since 1869 had resided in Clinton county in the vicinity of the spot where they now reside. She leaves besides her husband, five sons, John of Lyons, the well known miller, Edward, Paul and William living near Almont, Ferdinand of Miles, and two daughters Mrs. Joseph Myers of Almont, and Mrs. John Frahm of Miles. The funeral will occur from the residence near Almont at 10 a.m., Wednesday followed by interment in Oakland cemetery.
