The Clinton Herald Monday November 19, 1956 p. 7 Mrs. Anna C. Struve, 94, pioneer resident near Hauntown, died at 3:55 a.m. Sunday in the Savanna City hospital where she was a patient one day. She had been in failing health about a year. Funeral servcies will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. Paul's Lutheran church, Clinton. Rev. M.E. Lesher will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery. The body reposes in the Shadduck funeral home where friends may call. Mrs. Struve was born Oct. 15, 1862, near Bryant, daughter of Chris and Marie Klinge. She married Paul H. Struve May 2, 1882, in the Lyons Congregational church. They farmed in the Hauntown area for many years. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church and American Legion auxiliary and was a Gold Star Mother. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Hans Baasch of Hauntown, five sons, Ernest and Arnold of Hauntown, William of Teeds Grove, Franz of Woodward and George of Ogden, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1940, one son who died in 1918 in France, one sister and four brothers.
