The Clinton Herald Saturday January 9, 1960 p. 8 Ernest H.C. Struve, 76, of near Hauntown community, died at 1:15 a.m. today in Savanna City hospital, where he had been a patient three months. The body was taken to the Shadduck funeral home in Clinton where friends may call after 7 p.m. today. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Rev. M.E. Lescher of St. Paul's Evangelical church will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery. Mr. Struve was born March 6, 1883, near Almont, the son of Paul H. and Anna C. Klinge Struve. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith. He had farmed in the Hauntown area his entire life. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Hans Baasch of Hauntown; three brothers, Arnold of Hauntown, Franz of Woodward and George of Ogden; 9 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Paul and William.
