Robert Grey Gillock II

Robert Grey Gillock, II, passed away, Saturday, February 18, 2006 at his home with his loved ones by his bedside due to complications of cancer. Inurnment will be at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at Denver with military honors at a later date. Memorials in Robert’s name may be made to Prairie Haven Hospice, 2 W. 42nd, Suite 2300, Scottsbluff, NE. 69361 or Riverside Zoo, 1600 S. Beltline Highway West, Scottsbluff, NE. 69361. Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff assisted his family with the arrangements. Robert’s obituary may be viewed online at www.jolliffefuneralhome.com, where condolences may be left.

Robert was born April 29, 1958 at Oak Harbor, WA., the son of Robert Grey and Doris Jean (Hugunin) Gillock. He was raised and educated at Aurora, CO. where he graduated from high school. He served with the U. S. Army from 1976 until he was honorably discharged in 1980. He was employed with the Aurora, CO. school system from 1980 to 2004. He then moved to Gering, where he was employed with Aurora Loan Services. Robert’s family would like to thank Prairie Haven Hospice for their utmost respect, dignity and love shown to Bob and his loved ones. He was an avid reptile enthusiast. Bob wants everyone to know to make sure you tell people you love them today, don’t wait until tomorrow. Rejoice in the Lord and Jesus is the Way! He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his children Susan, Andy and Peter all of Strasburg, CO., his lifelong love Marilee of Strasburg, sisters Pam and her husband Tom Otto and Patty Gillock all of Clinton, IA., brother Frank Gillock and his wife Trish of Mitchell, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
