DONALD P. WINOSKI

Donald P. Winoski, 75, of Clinton, died Saturday, January 7, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton

Visitation and funeral services will be at the Lemke Funeral Home South Chapel, 2600 Lincolnway, Clinton, Iowa. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8:30 PM and Thursday from 10 AM until the service. The service will be Thursday at 11 AM with Father Stack officiating. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. The pallbearers will be his grandsons and nephews, Kenneth Bechtel, Thomas J. Telford, Alex Telford, Scott Zimmerman, Richard Bechtel, and Mika Dean. Following the graveside services a time of fellowship will be held at Gil’s Ballroom.

Donald was born March 21, 1930 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Frank and Sarah (Stuer) Winoski. He married Margaret Lewis Telford on March 29, 1960 in Morrison, IL. She preceded him in death on April 1, 2003. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic Schools and Clinton High School. He was a Veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was employed with Nessin Trampoline of Cedar Rapids, as an installer of their gymnastic equipment thru out the United States. He worked many years in the Carpenters and Millwrights trades, and was a retired Union Member of Millwright Local 2158 of Bettendorf, Iowa. He was an avid fisherman and loved fishing with his many friends and Union Brothers.

Survivors include his daughter, Angela (Roland) Bechtel of Clinton, a son Thomas (Paula) Telford of Clinton; a granddaughter, Margaret (Scott) Zimmerman of Maquoketa; three grandsons, Kenneth Bechtel, Thomas J. (Kelsi) Telford, and Alex Telford, all of Clinton; three great grandchildren, Angelina and Elijah Zimmerman of Maquoketa, and Abigail Telford of Clinton; two brothers, Thomas (Beverly) and Frank (Tony) Winoski both of Clinton; three sisters, Marie (Walter) McPeck of Cotail, CA., Madonna Turner of Clinton, and Madeline Perrin of Clinton; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond and his parents.
