ELIZABETH, Ill. — Evelyn Heidenreich, 85, of Elizabeth, died Saturday at the Galena (Ill.) Stauss Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace Bible Church, Woodbine, Ill., with the Rev. Jeremy Yowell officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in the Woodbine Cemetery.
She was born Feb. 15, 1920, in rural Woodbine to L.V.B. and Bertha Guenzler Atz. She married Dwight D. Heidenreich on Aug. 10, 1940, in Maquoketa. He died in 1989.
She attended Terrapin Ridge School.
She was a homemaker. She also worked as a telephone operator in Woodbine and was the caretaker for Woodbine and Welsh Hollow cemeteries.
She taught Sunday School at E.U.B. Church in Woodbine.
Survivors include one brother-in-law, Allen (Diana) Heidenreich of Elizabeth; three sisters-in-law, Elva Atz and Faye Heidenreich, both of Elizabeth, and Viola Heidenreich of Lena, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.
