Brent A. Kokemuller

Brent Allen Kokemuller, age 47, of Clinton, died Thursday, December 29, 2005 at his home. Visitation will be held from 4-7 P.M. on Friday, January 6th at the Pape Funeral Home in Clinton. Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home. Following the burial at the Miles Cemetery, Miles, IA, There will be a gathering for family and friends. Pallbearers will be Butch Umble, Jeff Voss, Chuck Marcucci, John Dohrn, Mike Pittman, Bill Bartels, Gary Spilger and Brendan Bartels.

Brent was born in Savanna, IL on October 28, 1958 to Helen (Faust) and Kermit Kokemuller. Brent graduated from Clinton High School and attended the University of Northern Iowa. He worked at Air Control in Clinton for 27 years. Brent liked to hunt and belonged to Pheasants Forever, Clinton Chapter, for many years. He decorated his home with various types of wildlife art, Budweiser steins and Marlboro gifts items. Brent closely followed the fortunes of the Iowa Hawkeyes and the St. Louis Cardinals. The loves of his life were his son Michael Brent, step-daughter Ann Marie, and spending time with his family and friends. He loved golfing with his brother and son, bowling with his friends, teasing his nieces and nephews and shooting fireworks on the 4th of July.

Brent is survived by his son, Michael Brent of Clinton, a step-daughter, Ann Marie Pfeiffer of Cedar Falls, IA, brothers Roger Kokemuller, wife Sharon of Keokuk and Ron Kokemuller of Clinton, sisters Linda Kokemuller of Portland, Maine and Janet Scott, husband Ron of Pleasant Valley, MO and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was pre-deceased by his father and mother. Memorials may be made to Michael’s education fund.

Brent was young at heart, a loving father, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed.
