CLINTON — Emma L. Schwartz, 78, of Clinton died Tuesday, at Mercy North Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Lemke Funeral Homes, North Chapel, 2304 N. Second St.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Brian Schwartz, Patrick Schwartz, Harlan Foster, Glenn Petersen, David Pell and Doug Pell. Burial will follow at Center Grove Cemetery.
She was born April 21, 1927, in Clinton to Martin and Emma Brockmiller Jacobsen. She married Wesley Schwartz Aug. 7, 1948, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Clinton.
She graduated from Lyons High School in 1946. She worked for the Garment Factory, the court house and General Electric and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Dr. Sandra Schwartz of Champaign, Ill.; one son, Wesley W. (Jolene) Schwartz, Jr. of Bryant; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth (James) Ludvigson, of Clinton, and two brothers: Chris (Marilyn) Jacobsen of Olin and Johnny Jacobsen of DeWitt.
A memorial will be established.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and one brother.
