WELTON — Jeffrey Burmeister, 37, of Welton, died Thursday at Genesis Medical Center– DeWitt.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Nelson Funeral Home, DeWitt. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Richard Carber Jr., Ronnie Carber, Steve Burmeister, Tracy Anderson, Dave Hollingsworth and Al Bearse.
He was born Sept. 11, 1968, to Lyle Burmeister and Joyce Scobee Burmeister. He was raised by his stepmother, Belva Mosher Burmeister.
Survivors include his daughter, Melissa Burmeister of Welton; stepdaughter, Tasha Ross of DeWitt; one stepgrandchild; the mother of his children, Lisa Rae Ross of DeWitt; his stepmother, Belva Burmeister of Morrison, Ill., his mother, Joyce Scobee Burmeister of Clinton; brothers, Daniel Burmeister of Clinton, David (Teri) Hollingsworth of Davenport and Donald (Deb) Hollingsworth of Citrus Heights, Calif.; a sister, Ruth Ann (Mike) Ritchie of Mount Carroll, Ill.; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and two uncles.
