Jerald B. “Jerry” Miley

FULTON, Mo. — Jerald B. “Jerry” Miley, 59, of Fulton and formerly of Fulton, Ill., died Monday at his home.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home with the Rev. Wendell Davelaar, pastor of First Christian Reformed Church in Fulton, officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the service time Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Fulton Township Cemetery; graveside military honors will be accorded.

Pallbearers will be Matt and Tom Bendull, Garry Medema, Ryan Miley, Roy Rohrbach and Joe Vogel.

He was born Oct. 6, 1946, in Clinton to Blaine “Mike” and Angeline Klavenga Miley. He married Linda K. Moldermaker on July 16, 1968, in Palmyra, Mo.

He graduated from Fulton High School in 1964. He then attended Sauk Valley Community College, Dixon, Ill.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

He was employed with Commonwealth Edison at the Cordova (Ill.) Nuclear Power Generating Facility. He was later employed as an instrument and control technician with AmerenUE, Callaway Plant, before retiring in 2002.

He was a member of Court Street United Methodist Church, Fulton, Mo., and a former member of Trinity Reformed Church, Fulton, Ill. He was a member of the VFW Fulton, Mo., Post.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Sarah (Roy) Rohrbach of Fulton, Mo., and Mrs. Angie (Joe) Vogel of Jefferson City, Mo.; five grandchildren; his mother, Angeline Miley of Fulton, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Joleen (Bob) Bendull of Grayslake, Ill., and Mrs. Brenda (Andy) Skylling of Gurnee, Ill.; and one brother, Steve (Joyce) Miley of Morrison, Ill.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or De Immigrant, Fulton.
