Dan E. Bielema

FULTON, Ill. — Dan E. Bielema, 53, of Fulton, died Tuesday at Mercy North Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. The Rev. Jake Ritzema, pastor of German Valley (Ill.) Christian Reformed Church, will be officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Fulton Township Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Phillip, David, Jason, Matt and Josh Bielema, Ron Izer, Austin Walstead, Jacob Bielema and Dave Seesar.

He was born July 30, 1952, to Kenneth and Jacqueline Brondyke Bielema.

He was educated in the Unity Christian grade and middle schools. He graduated from Fulton High School.

He was employed with Exelon, Cordova, Ill., for 32 years until his retirement in 2002.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Clinton, and Fulton Lions Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Carrie (Kurt) Fanderclai of Clinton and Mrs. Jessi (Nate) Shambaugh of Windsor Heights; three grandchildren; four brothers, Tom Bielema, Russ (Sandie) Bielema, Steve Bielema and John (Deb) Bielema, all of Fulton; his father, Kenneth Bielema of Fulton; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Eagles Club, Clinton, or Humane Society.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one aunt.
