CLINTON — Thea M. “Megs” Conner, 99, of Clinton and formerly of Rock Island, Ill., died Tuesday at Mercy North Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Paul Holmer officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Island Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service time Friday at the church. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Brian and Erin Conner, Terry Cross, James Givens, Nancy Cordes and Tim Cordes.

She was born June 15, 1906, in Ulen, Minn., to Herman and Thorine Burtness Dahl. She married H. Wayne Conner on Sept. 30, 1939, in Hammond, Ind.; he died in 1992.

She graduated from Ulen High School. She also attended Northern Michigan College and business school in Chicago.

She was an executive secretary with Missman, Stanley, Farmer and Associates for 20 years before retiring in 1974.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Rock Island, and Immanuel Lutheran Church, Clinton.

Survivors include one son, David (Patricia) Conner of Burlington; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Janet (Gary) Cross of Clinton; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wyndcrest Nursing Home or a church of the donor’s choice.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and four sisters.
