Margarete Maxwell 04/16/1999 CLINTON, Iowa -- Services for Margarete R. Maxwell, formerly of Clinton, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clinton. Burial will be in San Fernando Mission Cemetery, Calif. Visitation is 10-11 a.m. at Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory, Clinton. Mrs. Maxwell died Wednesday, April 14, 1999, at Bluff Terrace Nursing Home, Clinton. She worked for Desmond's Department Store in Southern California. She was also a real estate broker in Westwood and Palm Springs, Calif. Margarete Reck was born March 10, 1902, in Clinton. She married William Maxwell in 1937 in Milwaukee. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Survivors include sisters, Ruth Reck and Mayme Williams, both of Clinton.
