Alice E. Adolph

CHADWICK, Ill. — Alice E. Adolph, 91, formerly of Fairhaven, Ill., died Sunday at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Morrison, Ill.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Frank-Law-Jones Funeral Home, Chadwick. Burial will be in the Fairhaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

She was born Jan. 16, 1914, in Odin, Ill., to Willie and Edna Brown Rippy. She married Vernon J. Adolph on Oct. 29, 1932, in Morrison. He died in 1982.

She drove bus for the Fairhaven School District for many years.

She was a member of Fairhaven Methodist Church, the Ladies Aid and Republican Women. She also taught Sunday school.

Survivors include three sons, Vernon (Darlene) Adolph Jr. of Milledgeville, Ill., Raymond (Judith) Adolph of Morrison and Lawrence “Stan” (Margaret) Adolph of Aurora, Ill.; one sister, Agnes Adcock of Galesburg, Ill.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to the family in her name.
