DUBUQUE — Lloyd D. Kelly, 82, of Dubuque and formerly of Bellevue, died Saturday at the Dubuque Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Bellevue, with the Rev. Stephen Meyer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Military rites will be accorded by the Bellevue American Legion Reveille Post 273. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Kingery Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Bellevue.

He was born March 5, 1923, in Mederville to Jay Brayton and Colista M. Markham Kelly. He married Norma Story at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Bellevue. She died in 1995.

He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Meig’s.

He retired from John Deere Dubque Works in 1986.

He was a member of the Resurrection Church, Dubuque, and former member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Bellevue.

Survivors include one son, Dennis (Lanette) Kelly of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren; one sister, Lou Ann; and one brother, Leonard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers and two sisters.

Death Date: Nov. 26, 2005
