Robert Lee Hartle

DEWITT — Robert Lee Hartle, 58, died at his home in North House Community Care, DeWitt on Saturday, November 26, 2005.

He was born October 31, 1947 in Davenport, Iowa the son of Orville and Mildred (Smith) Hartle.

Robert had worked at Skyline and DAC. The past five years he had worked at CCI Industries.

He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, DeWitt. Robert was a Chicago Cubs fan, and he loved Coca-Cola and Pringles. Alan Jackson was one of his favorite country music singers and Pop-A-Top was one of his favorite songs. Robert had participated in Special Olympics receiving many awards, including Iowa Special Olympian of the Year. He enjoyed going to Camp Courageous, he was very patriotic and enjoyed visiting and singing.

Robert is survived by several cousins: Ralph Mohr and Mary Lou Pace both of Michigan; Dale Mueller, Monticello; Jordis Nelson, Davenport; Dolores Johnson, Calamus; Beverly Ilg, DeWitt and Garla Nelson, Lanark, Illinois.

His parents preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. Rev. Garland Gotoski will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Mound.

Pallbearers will be Dave Howard, Robert Perry, Dennis Schute, Josh Judge, James Knoche, Gary Iverson and Kim Parmer.

Family and friends may visit at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt on Monday from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m.

Memorials may be left to Community Care Inc/ICFMR or Grace Lutheran Church.
