William “Bill” Richter

CLINTON — William “Bill” Richter, 69, of Clinton, died Thursday at Mercy North Hospital.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the memorial service at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lemke Funeral Homes, North Chapel, 2304 N. Second St.

He was born March 17, 1936, in Freeport, Ill., to William F. and Mary Ellen Ruthe Richter. He married Madonna Leslie on Nov. 19, 1960, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Clinton.

He worked with Clinton Corn and was a sales representative with Clinton Wholesale Foods.

Survivors include two sons, William “Bill” (Sandra) Richter of Burlington and David (Joanne) Richter of Waterloo; three sisters, Mary Ellen Richter and Mrs. Selma (Bruce) Brown, both of Clinton and Mrs. Helen (Robert) Naeve of Fulton, Ill.; and six grandchildren.

A memorial fund will be established.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother and one sister.
