Marian Marie Stingley
ERIE, Ill. — Marian Marie Stingley, 81, of Prophetstown, Ill., and formerly of Erie, died Saturday at Prophets Riverview Center, Prophetstown.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Erie Christian Church. Burial will be in the Erie Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Gibson Funeral Home, Erie.
She was born June 14, 1924, in Edgington, Ill., to John and Selma Sedam Kane. She married Francis L. Dean on Aug. 26, 1941. She later married Harley Ward on Aug. 25, 1965, in Danville. He preceded her in death. She then married Bert Stingley on April 15, 1978, in Erie. He died in 1984.
She was employed with General Electric, Morrison, Ill., before retiring in 1985.
She was a member of the Erie Christian Church.
Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Dollie (James) Murphy of Erie, Diana Hubbard and Mrs. Bonnie (Larry) Holldorf, both of Morrison; one son, B. Avery (Sharon) Dean of Hillsdale, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Rosetta Davis of Catlin, Ill., and Lucille Fronk of Longwood, Fla.
Memorials may be made to Prophets Riverview Center.
She was preceded in death by one son, Dennis, one daughter, one grandchild and four brothers.
